Polly is the first and only opinion research firm to accurately predict a Liberal minority government.
Advanced Symbolics Inc. (ASI)’s AI Polly—Canada’s only AI-based opinion researcher —predicted a Liberal minority government on Friday, Oct. 18 while other traditional pollsters were saying the federal election was too close to call. On the 18 ASI’s CEO, Erin Kelly, was featured on CTV’s Power Play and TVO’s The Agenda announcing Polly’s prediction.
“We confidently called a minority Liberal government on Friday and we were the first and only ones in Canada to do so.”
– Erin Kelly, CEO, Advanced Symbolics Inc.

To learn more about Polly and how ASI accurately predicted the election, join us at the University of Ottawa on Nov. 13 where Shainen Davidson, ASI’s Senior Data Scientist, will be giving an in-depth discussion to the Text Analysis and Machine Learning Group (TAMALE) on using social media data to predict the 2019 Federal Election.

Congratulations on your prediction.
If every other pollster said it was too close to call, then that is in effect suggesting the Liberals’ chances of holding on to their majority was more out of reach than it was possible. If they were projected to maintain their majority, the polls would have made that clear. So all Polly did was be the first to make that prediction an explicit proclamation. It was no more accurate than other pollsters.
